VICTORBRECHERET. Brecheret nasceu em 15 de dezembro de 1894, na cidade de Farnese, província de Viterbo, na Itália, e muito criança ficou órfão de pai e mãe, indo morar com os tios Augusto e Paulina Nanni. Desde pequeno adorava fazer bonecos de barro, que queimava no forno de sua casa.
Defato, Brecheret foi o principal responsável pela iniciação da escultura brasileira no movimento modernista internacional. Sob forte influência da escultura de Auguste Rodin (1840-1917), Victor Brecheret recusava o academicismo artístico e se alinhava a movimentos como o construtivista, expressionista e cubista.
